Generic CalDAV / CardDAV setup guide
By Mads Petersen on August 21, 2026
This article outlines the necessary settings for most generic $DAV connections (CalDAV, CardDAV).
Note that not all clients expects exactly the same configuration values. The values named hereunder are valid for the most common clients. When configuring more exotic clients, there can be differences in what the names of the settings are, and if pre-addressing (such as ‘https://’ or ‘dav://’) is required. In case of troubles, please check the documentation for the client in question.
