By Mads Petersen on April 8, 2026
In case you did not get to connect your contact list when you set up the email, please take a look at this guide:
In case you did not get around to add your contact lists / address books during the setup of your email, please take a look at this guide:
- Go to the ‘Contacts’ section of Thunderbird
- Press tiny ‘New addressbook’ button next to the big blue ‘New contact’ button
- Select ‘Add CardDAV Address book’
- Enter your username and location
- Your ‘Username’ is your ‘..@<your domain>’ email address
- The Location is ‘apps.kolabnow.com’
- Authenticate when asked
- Thunderbird will now look up the available CardDAV address books in your Kolab Now account and make them available for you.
- Celebrate that you now have access to your contacts via Thunderbird
You can see it done here:
Please note, that even when your primary email address is not @kolabnow.com, but is e.g. @mykolab.com or @myprivatedomain.org, you have to connect to the servers: imap.kolabnow.com and smtp.kolabnow.com.
