Kolab Now offers two types of accounts: Individual accounts and Group accounts. Please take a look at the signup page for further details.

The individual users and group managers have a choice between various subscription types for the user accounts.

At the time of this writing, we offer the following three types of subscriptions:

This subscription provides email services only. No groupware functionality is included, meaning that no Calendars, Files, Tasks or any other groupware content is provided.

This account type also does not allow the user to synchronize data. This means that the use neither of CalDAV, CardDAV, WebDAV nor ActiveSync is available. Desktop client applications and mobile devices will need to be configured to use IMAP, and the user can also use the web client.

Regular groupware accounts are provided with everything an organized person desires — Calendars, Address Books, Tasks, Files and Collaborative Editing.

This leaves plenty of opportunity to synchronize client devices, including mobile devices, via IMAP, CalDAV, CardDAV and WebDAV.

Regular + Mobile Synchronization

Regular subscriptions are provided the option to enable Mobile Synchronization (ActiveSync), a popular means to synchronize content with mobile devices.

Users of Microsoft Outlook 2013 and later are recommended to use ActiveSync.
