Setting up an ActiveSync client

Kolab Now supports the use of the ActiveSync protocol for client connection. This knowledge base article is a short generic description of the setup procedure followed by a list of articles that describes how to do so on some well known clients.
Common for them all is the requirement of support for TLS 1.1 and later in the client / OS.
Generic ActiveSync setup guide
ActiveSync is added through a new account on the device/ in the client. Where as the names and listings might vary on different devices, this is a very generic description of the procedure:
Try to find: “Settings” -> “Accounts”
- Choose “Add account”
- Tap “Advanced” (on some devices “Manual Setup”)
- Choose “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync” (or similar)
- Supply the following settings and values:

Description: | Kolab Now, or anything of your choosing |
Domain: | The domain part of your email address |
Username: | Your full email address |
Password: | The password for your account |
Server Address | apps.kolabnow.com |
Port: | 443 |
Use SSL: | On |
